Brief
Sticky Bellies' monthly milestone customers are happy and loyal, but traditionally part ways with the brand after a child's 12-month birthday. The company needed a product that retained those customers, capitalized on their fan-base, and attracted new consumers.

The Birthday Poster™ is a 24x36 consumable poster sold in gift packaging that gives parents' a way to document milestones beyond baby's first year. Party decor, keepsake and photography prop in one, The Birthday Poster™ has hooked a whole new audience on Sticky Bellies' milestone products.

Wall Growth Chart

Brief
To compliment their expanding line of milestone products, Sticky Bellies' commissioned two growth charts, one for girls and one for boys, as well as a sheet of stickers and gift box packaging. The challenge? It had to be clean, modern and fun.

Solution
Happy Heights™ is a 3' tri-fold growth chart, with a printed front and back, an attached satin ribbon for hanging, and is sold in gift box packaging. It playfully allows children and parents to compare heights with animals, world records, storybook characters and more. The package includes a sheet of stickers for marking heights.

Picture Me Proud™ Memory Cards

Brief

Picture Me Proud™ memory cards are six unique 8x10 fillable heavy-duty mini-posters that give parents and kids a way to document fun milestones. They are packaged in a specially made die-cut gift box (also designed by Maggie).

Brag Blocks™ Milestone Blocks

Brief
Sticky Bellies' monthly milestone stickers have been applauded, and duplicated, for years. They were looking for an alternative to the stickers, that could give customers another option for easy-painless milestone snapshots.

Solution
Brag Blocks™ are a set of three lightweight cardboard blocks, in gift box packaging. Two of the blocks are numbers. The other block has the words: days, weeks, months and years. Sticky Bellies® Instagram page shows how creatively some consumers are using these blocks.

2015-2016 Wholesale Print Catalog

Brief
Sticky Bellies® is traditionally known for the monthly milestone stickers which they invented, but actually create a number of different milestone products. The challenge was to create a brief, cohesive catalog that showcased a variety of unique and aesthetically different products, while reflecting the brand's dedication to modern families.

Solution
A 16-page 5.5x8.5 print catalog with simple branding and commissioned product photography, printed on 100# stock with an aqueous finish.

Sibling Milestone Stickers

Brief
Sticky Bellies' monthly milestone stickers (the majority of which are designed by Maggie) give the illusion of a custom shirt without the added cost. The company wanted to capitalize on the sibling/baby announcement market.

Solution
Sibling stickers are sets of four stickers, packaged and sold for Big Sis, Little Sis, Big Bro and Little Bro. Bright, gender-specific colors and a simple, modern design brought the brand a fresh look and feel.

Media Kit

Brief
Children's author Maria Dismondy® was looking for a media kit to announce new book releases. She provided basic copy and Maggie did some editing and copywriting, as well as the design.

Solution
Maggie used Maria's website for the piece's look and feel. The end result is a printable, interactive PDF with links to Maria's retail site and social media sites. Maggie updates with piece with each new book release.

Logo and Corporate Identity

Brief
Cardinal Rule Press is a new company, focused on publishing motivational and uplifting titles. They needed a logo and look that complimented their founder's brand and communicated their mission.

Solution
Round and horizontal logos use a clean, sans-serif font and bold colors. Both feature an iconic image (cardinal and heart) that can be used in multiple branding applications. It also works when paired with the Maria Dismondy brand.

Presentation Banner Set

Brief
Maria Dismondy, author of seven books, spreads her message of acceptance and tolerance as a children's motivational speaker. She needed an eye catching, affordable visual aid to bring to speaking engagements.

Solution
Two 33"x79" retractable banners with Maria's branding, bright colors, her book covers and the accompanying messaging. The client handled the printing. Maggie did the design.

A 10-foot by 8-foot tension banner featuring original "the stack" launch artwork and product photography. Maggie handled the design. Client took care of printing.

Brief
Sbpang's reusable BPA-Free snack bags are a hit and they decided to develop a all-in-one drink plus lunchbox. They needed a logo for the new product that matched their original logo and look/feel.

Maggie designed a logo that complimented the original spbang logo but that stood apart as well.

Wholesale Sell Sheet

Brief
Sbpang® manufactures reusable BPA-Free snack bags. Some business is D2C but the majority is D2R. They were looking for an inexpensive, eye-catching sell sheet for tradeshows that hit their selling points and displayed all their SKUs.

Solution
A bi-fold wholesale sell sheet designed to look like an actual-size Spbang® bag. At 7x7 they are small enough to ship/travel with yet large enough to display necessary information. The real-life look and vibrant colors add to their tradeshow display, are an informative takeaway, and leave money in the budget for R&D.

Large Watercolor Calendar

Brief
Today's Special is an Etsy seller known for original calendars. They needed 12 months of artwork, with a grid layout that included special holidays. It needed to be printed on tabloid paper, spiral bound and weigh less than 8 oz.

Solution
Twelve months of watercolor artwork, some commissioned by Maggie and some original works, edited in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The calendar was laid out in InDesign, using Microsoft Excel for the holiday organization. The piece was printed printed on 80# Finch Cover stock with vellum finish. Maggie handled all aspects of design and production, including marketing and retail sales.

Logo

Brief
Today's Special is a company founded by Maggie and Will Spurgeon. It manufactures products that encourage people to celebrate (nearly) everyday. They needed a universal umbrella logo to use on their cards, calendars and posters.

Solution
A two-color logo with a vintage feel, invoking the spirit of an old diner sign. There are both vertical and horizontal renderings.

Spring High School Student Recruitment Piece

Brief
Though traditionally student recruitment occurs in the fall, University of Michigan admittance counselors attend a variety of events in the spring and summer. The office of Undergraduate Admissions was looking for a collateral piece to distribute to underclassmen at these events. The piece needed to be easy to understand, brief and low-cost.

Solution
Working with full-time admissions employees, I developed a low-cost trifold "locker poster" that married Instagram student photography and simple, relatable infographics. The result was a lightweight, visually interesting recruitment piece that relayed informtion of particular interest to underclassmen.

Labor Affirmation Cards

Brief
PushPack™ sells prepacked hospital bags for birthing mothers. They were looking to design and print a set of labor affirmation cards to compliment the bag. 

Solution
Maggie chose "soft" fonts and a happy but soothing color palette when designing these 14 labor cards. The client was responsible for printing and packaging. The end result is stunning.

Project
Packaging Inserts

Brief
Milk It™ is a web-based retailer specializing in fun breast-feeding "aides" for working mothers. This includes door hangers, bottle labels, and bag tags. The company was moving production to China and wanted to update some of their packaging. They were also looking for a designer familiar with Chinese printing practices.

Solution
A refresh of all packaging, including inserts and exterior labels, keeping in line with Milk It's vintage look and feel. In addition, Maggie acted as a liaison between the Chinese printing facility and Milk It's CEO.
